Government backed scheme
This Government energy efficiency scheme has been set up to help reduce the carbon emissions and tackle the cost of energy in the UK.

Poor insulation in walls, lofts, or floors allows heat to escape, leaving interior surfaces cold and vulnerable to condensation when warm, moist air comes into contact with them—this moisture build-up is a common cause of damp. At the same time, gaps around windows, doors, and roofs, or poorly fitted joinery, let cold air in and warm air out, creating uncomfortable drafts while reducing the effectiveness of heating. Where insulation is insufficient or uneven, such as missing areas in lofts, cavity walls, or floors, cold spots form, providing the perfect environment for moisture to settle, mould to grow, and humidity levels to remain high.
