I am a landlord (PRS), what measures can be installed under the Warm Homes Scheme?
The Warm Homes Scheme can fund a wide range of energy saving upgrades to improve the efficiency and comfort of homes. Depending on the property and the persons eligibility, a grant may cover:

Can tenants apply for the the warm homes scheme?
Yes, tenants can apply as long as they have their landlord’s permission and meet the eligibility criteria. We’ll handle the paperwork and liaise with your landlord to make the process
What are the legal obligations for landlords regarding energy efficiency?
Landlords must ensure their rental properties meet the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), which currently require an EPC rating of at least E. RMS can help landlords improve the efficiency of their properties, keeping tenants comfortable and reducing future compliance costs.
What happens in 2030?
From 2030, all privately rented homes in England and Wales are expected to meet EPC Band C. Properties with lower ratings will need energy-efficiency improvements before they can be legally let. Although final regulations are still being confirmed, enforcement is expected to follow the current MEES rules. Local authorities can issue civil penalties of up to £5,000 per property, and landlords may be prevented from letting the property until it meets the required standard.
